Mid-Season Darts Report: Chester Success!

The Chester Exiles darts team, who play in a league against other exiled football supporters, are delighted to have had a successful season so far.

They have won two of their four matches in the APFSCIL Division Two (there are three divisions in the league) and only narrowly lost their other two games - still earning points in the process.

The most recent match saw a 7-4 victory against Gillingham - enough to put Chester on top of their division and likely to keep the lead until the season resumes after its seasonal break.

Darts manager Rick Goby said of the Gillingham match: "The way was set by Rob Evans who took the opening Team game with a double one finish. From here, three Pairs and then three Solo games saw us reach a 6-1 scoreline with only the middle Pair conceding. The last three Solos were lost and our seventh game success was the beer leg. Well done everyone ! "

Previous matches saw them lose 5-6 against Exeter and Bolton, and beat Plymouth 8-3.

The next fixture is pencilled in as a Cup game against Division One Sunderland on Monday January 13. Please email blog@chesterexiles.co.uk if you'd be interested in playing (or supporting!). All the matches take place in and around central London.
